This site is great. One comment- we Buddhists do not attempt to ‘convert’ in the way that Christians or Muslims do. Non Buddhists embrace Buddhism out of their own free will when they find that what the Buddha taught is relevant to them and to the whole of humanity.

Buddha encouraged enquiry, not blind faith. All that he said is verifiable.

Exactly! This is really the message I want to pass on the “convert to Buddhism” page.

Many people do not understand that it is not necessary to “convert” to Buddhism.

All that is necessary is to “change” your mind and way of thinking and adopt a Buddhist frame of mind.

Following someone’s precept doesn’t make you a converted.
