is it possible find back a reborn person?

The Dalai Lama is a good example of a reincarnated person

The Dalai Lama is a good example of a reincarnated person “found”.

The Question:

I met someone who feels like I have known before.

Is it possible that we met before long ago and found back?

Is there an answer for it in Buddhism?

My answer:

Reincarnation is common in several religions and culture. Hinduism, Jainism, and Sikhism and Buddhism are some of the religions who have reincarnation as a central part of their tenets.

According to a Gallop survey, around 20% of American Adults believe in reincarnation.

In Buddhism, reincarnation is called rebirth. It is quite similar but the difference is that it is not desirable. Rebirth means more suffering.
The goal of Buddhism is to cease suffering thus, cease the rebirth cycle and be reborn in the Western Pure land where suffering is non-existent.

Some enlightened beings chose to come again to save more people. These are called Bodhisattva or some great masters also do the same.
The Dalai Lama is considered such a person.
According to the Tibetan belief, Tenzin Gyatso is the 14th incarnation of the Dalai Lama. Who would have been first born Gendun Drup (1391–1474).

There is a difficult process to find a reincarnated lama. It involves test and lots of research.

Some children are said to remember vividly their past life and some incredible accounts have been recorded of such children. You can read some in books like Carol Bowman’s Children who remember their past lives.
