Buddhist contact in Japan
by Chris
(Poland)
How can I get in touch with Buddhist monks in Japan if I’m not from there?
I speak some English, but it’s not that easy to translate and meet some Japanese Buddhist…
My answer:
If you do not know anyone who is a monk in Japan, the easiest way to meet one is through some Buddhist organizations in your own country.
Since you are from Poland, I guess that this would be the best resource for you:

Get in touch with them and you might just find what you are looking for. The person does not have to be Japanese, by the way. thinking that only Japanese people are true Japanese Buddhist is a mistake. I know some Westerners that are better Buddhist than many Japanese monks.
What is important is that they have the passion, and ability to share Buddhism with others.
I wish you luck in your research.
